I adore "Vintage" mirrors that have the mercury glass look. The only problem is these mirrors are so pricey. I saw a great tutorial HERE and got inspired to make my own. I used the same technique as I used in the Mercury Glass Vases.
I purchased 9 frames from the dollar store. Took the glass out and sprayed a light coat of Krylon's Looking Glass Spray Paint. The next step is to mix up a water and vinegar solution. I used 3 Tablespoons of water and 3 Tablespoons of vinegar, and poured it into a spray bottle. I sprayed this solution all over the glass until I was satisfied with the "dirty" look.
I bought a pack of wood shims and liquid nails to secure the frames together. I let them dry for 2 days and The mirror was all ready!
Enjoy!
